Review:

The Navigon 2200T is encased in a compact black body with a nice rounded design which is simple, yet attractive. It sports a 3.5 inch touchscreen display which is quite adequate. The build quality is very nice and the device is sturdy. The touchscreen is nicely sensitive and responsive, which makes it fun to move around that interface. The user interface itself, is very intuitive and requires a very slight learning curve. The home screen has five options – New Destination, My Destinations, Take Me Home, Show Map and Options. You can get route directions to any destination and also back to any location labelled Home. Using the Options menu, we can also check traffic updates – by the way, they are free for life, check your status or customize other settings.

It also offers voice navigation and a auto spellsuggest. The Navigon 2200T includes a detailed database of more than 2 million points of interest. You can update it if you want. The 2200T has good GPS reception and locks down quite fast even from a cold start. The maps look very clear on the display and easy to follow. It doesn’t offer any extras at all, but then you can’t get any better than this in this price range.

Pros:

  • Large Touchscreen Display
  • Free Lifetime Traffic Updates
  • Detailed Maps

Cons:

  • No Extras

Our Rating: 4 / 5.
