Review:
The NEC NP41 has a simple design and is composed mostly of white plastic. It has dimensions of around 9.7 in x 7.1 in x 2.8 in and weighs just 3.6 pounds. This is quite compact and it is one of the lightest projectors in its league. You can connect through the many standard options it offers: VGA, S Video, Composite Video and a mini Audi socket. It supports a lot of video standards like NTSC, SECAM, PAL, PAL-N, PAL-M, NTSC 4.43, PAL 60 etc. It also comes with a handy remote control with all the basic controls.
It has a DLP image engine which gives you an excellent display. It has brightness levels of 2300 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of more than 1000:1 which is quite good. It also has automatic focus which works quite well. The on screen interface is the standard NEC’s and is very easy to use. Most of all, it runs quiet and cool which is a must during long presentations. It also comes with an ECO mode which consumes less power. In the sub $1000 range, the NEC NP41 is one of the best options.
Pros:
- Durable Build
- Runs Cool + ECO Mode
- Nice Brightness and Contrast
Automatic Focus
Cons:
- None, really!
Our Rating: 4 / 5.
