Nokia Mobile And Samsung Instinct Query

Hi i am planning to buy a new cell phone and the cell must have the following features :

1. Good Battery Backup

2. 2MP cam with good Zoom feature

3. Expandable Memory (Upto 1 G.B)

4. Must hav nice audio features with clarity and surround effect.

5. The phone must be sleek and stylish

Please suggest me with a cell phone having above features in Nokia only.

My budget is (7000-8000)rupees.

In your budget i.e. 7000-8000 rupees, the best phone to get would be the Nokia 6233. It is a bit old now but has all the features you would want – A great 2 MP cam, superb sound quality and speakers, the easy to use S40 User Interface, expandable memory upto 2 GB, GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Bluetooth etc. It has great looks too but that is completely subjective. Its not very slim though. Nevertheless, it is the best phone you can get in that budget. If you can increase you budget to about Rs. 9000, we would advise you to get the Sony Ericsson K810i if that is not a problem. It has a brilliant 3.2 MP cam with autofocus and a Xenon flash. The sound quality is great as well. If you are further willing to extend your budget, you should go for the Nokia 5320, which we have reviewed here. It is the most value-for-money Nokia smartphone, around 12,000, and is powered by the Symbian OS v9.3 FP2.

I was just wondering if you could review the Samsung Instinct? Possibly compare it to the HTC Diamond?

Hey Amanda, Yep, we would definitely try to review the Samsung Instinct in the coming month if all conditions are favorable and Samsung sends us a review piece. As for your query, the HTC Touch Diamond beats the Samsung Instinct by a considerable margin. The interfaces of both the Instinct and the Touch Diamond have been largely inspired by the iPhone 3G, and both have almost the same degree of usability. The Instinct, however, has a much more faster and responsive interface than the Touch Diamond. The Samsung Instinct has a 2 MP camera while the HTC Touch Diamond has a better 3.2 MP one. The Instinct does have a bigger and better screen though. The Instinct is a CDMA phone while the Touch Diamond is a GSM phone. Also if you are getting your Instinct from Sprint, they have a load of goodies to offer with fabulous plans which make the Instinct a good deal. The Instinct is also a tad cheaper than the Touch Diamond. It has been christened “The best Samsung phone ever” so you obviously can;t go wrong with it. The Touch Diamond is also a great buy.
