Noreve Samsung Omnia Tradition Leather Case Review

Noreve has in the past produced some amazing cases and nothing has changed. There are many third party options available for Samsung Omnia but few are worth spending your hard earned money on. Noreve brings exquisite craftsmanship and great quality to its cases which make them worth their price tag.

The Noreve Tradition Leather Case for Samsung Omnia has a business class look to it but is recommended for everyone who owns a Samsung Omnia. The case was shipped in flat two days around half the world. The case comes in excellent packaging. Check out the detailed review below.

Packaging and Contents

The case comes packed in a gift box with is rather large compared to the case dimensions as it has nice foam protection running all round inside it. The gift box is put inside a clamshell plastic that it easy to open. The packaging overall is pretty solid and you can later even use the box to store the case when not in use.

The contents include the case itself along with a belt clip with tools to fix it. Bundling of the belt clip is a huge bonus as it adds twin functionality to the case. You would hardly find many cases which offer such functionality. The belt clip can be attached separately with the help of a screw driver and the screws that come bundled with it. Bundling the screw driver was totally unexpected but such things make the experience worthwhile.

The belt clip isn’t a standard one but specially designed by Noreve for its cases. The belt clip swivels 360 degrees and has eight access points which the company claims come in handy while you sit. You have to manually attach the bundled tab after removing the screw attached on to the case at the back. Once the tab is in place, you just have to attach the belt clip. A pretty neat system designed to help you carry your cellphone neatly stuck on your belt. You can know more about the belt clip here.

Design and Fit

The case has been made out of super quality handcrafted leather that feels great in the hand. The texture of the leather is excellent for day to day use and won’t get weathered out soon. Stitching is the next thing you would notice about this case. The case has stitching running all round it and has been done very neatly and adds to the aesthetics of the case.

The thing that I like about the design is that it only has the company logo on the front and no flash company name embedded on to it that most of the times take away the glory of the case.

The case uses magnetic closure to keep the phone secure. It top flap has strong magnet inside it which is attracted by the magnet embedded on the top back side. The mechanism is easy to use and I find it much better than using a  button as it takes time to open and close them.

The inside of the case has a leather lining which has company’s name embossed all over it. The leather has been selected so that no scratches are inflicted on to the phone’s body. The only thing I dislike about the design is that is exposes the corners of the phone which are not protected.

Another interesting aspect of the design is the space for various ports has been left open so that you don’t have to remove the phone for most tasks. The case has opening for two microSD slots, camera lens, recharge port and headphones.

The Omnia fits into the case beautifully without any hitches and is held securely into place. The case has perfect cut-outs which reside over the ports. The phone slides into the case smoothly but taking it out requires a bit of effort, though I don’t know why anyone would want to do that.

Pros :

  • Excellent quality leather
  • Perfect cut-outs
  • Neat stitching
  • Detachable belt clip
  • No flashy stuff

Cons :

  • Corners exposed
  • Bit expensive

Final Thoughts

The Noreve Samsung Omnia Tradition Leather Case is an excellent offering from Noreve. The case is made out of special handcrafted leather that feels nice in the hand. The design is well thought out with perfect cut-outs for ports. There are cut-outs for almost every port but that also leads to the corner getting exposed to wear and tear. The belt clip is an excellent add-on and adds dual functionality to the case. it is easy to attach, thanks to all the tools that are bundled with it. A case that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a neat looking case with high functionality, though you might have to dish out a few extra bucks. You can check the pricing and other details about the case here.
