Microsoft Arc Mouse Review

mk_arcDon’t go by its looks, the Microsoft Arc Mouse is a fully functional mouse which isn’t just supposed to sit on your mouse pad looking pretty, but is also very comfortable and ergonomic. Normally, one doesn’t associate style with computer mouses and the Arc Mouse is set to change that. It is priced a bit higher than most mouses, but then style comes at a price. It can be folded into a mini mouse or used in the normal way, it impresses either way.

Microsoft Arc Mouse Specs:

  • Weight: 3.1 ounces
  • OS: Windows XP / Vista / 7, Mac OS X, Linux

Samsung X360-34P Review

The Samsung X360 34P is Samsung’s official entry in the ultra slim laptop club which was until recently led by Apple’s Macbook Air and Lenovo’s ThinkPad X301. It also had some other laptops like the Voodoo Envy 133 etc. Just when we thought that category was not cool anymore with netbooks being the category where everyone was focussing, Samsung attempts to reignite all the action again by releasing the ultrathin, super sleek X360 34P. Now it may be late as the Macbook Air and Lenovo Thinkpad X301 have released well over an year back, but it offers the best performance in its class, alongwith a superb battery life. In this review we check out the Samsung X360 34P and see if it is a better option than the Macbook Air and the Lenovo Thinkpad X301.

Archos 10 Review

archos10Archos has launched the new Archos 10, which is its first launch and marks its entry in the overcrowded netbook market. Archos is trying to deviate from its usual PMP offerings and expand into the very competitive netbook market. We don’t think that is a very smart decision especially as the Archos 10 is nothing new and has nothing spectacular to offer. It has the same monotonous hardware specs as every other netbook and is priced just like them – $399. That doesn’t give anyone a reason compelling enough to choose Archos over anyone else. In this review, we check out the Archos 10 and see if it proves to be a match to the current crop of netbooks floating around.

Archos 10 Specs:

  • Dimensions: 10.2 x 7.4 x 1.1 inches
  • Weight: 2.8 pounds
  • Processor: Intel Atom N270 at 1.6 GHz, 512 KB L2 cache
  • RAM: 1 GB DDR2 RAM
  • Hard Drive: 160 GB SATA HDD, 5400 RPM
  • Display Size: 10.2 inch LCD Display, 1024 x 600 pixels
  • Chipset: Intel 945 GSE
  • Graphics: Intel GMA 950 with 64 MB VRAM
  • Wireless: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g
  • Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Home
  • Ports: 3 USB v2.0 ports, Ethernet, Headphone, Kensington Lock, Microphone, VGA out, 4 in 1 card reader

Barring Nokia phones, which I would like you to buy, the only good options you have in the 20k bracket with a 5 MP cam are the Motorola ZN5 and the Sony Ericsson C902 / W902. You can also consider the LG Viewty, but it’s too old now. The Sony Ericsson G900 is also a sweet option. If you change your mind and decide to go with Nokia, opt for the Nokia N79 or the N82.
