Had the phone for a month now. Lots of features, with plenty of memory. Good enough graphics and more settings in most applications than most people would need. Most days I still find something new the Samsung people have thought of including in the phone. I'm still surprized at how many features they fitted in this small body. Battery lasts about a day, gps not that good, search function for files limited. Otherwise all I ever wanted in a phone/portable pc.

I've actually had my phone run for 3 days at half battery life so it lasts pretty long. I think the only problem with the phone is that some videos don't play perfectly, but then again nothing is perfect. The phone is fantastic and I'm extremely happy with it :)

My omnia doesnt use any functions and the battery lasts about 7 hours. they must be joking for 3 days. the phone is excellent but poor battery life. the gps unit needs internet connection and gets expensive since they dont have software like the nokia e90 which uses satellite for position. other than that the unit is perfect. they should have included gps positioning software

Hi Johan,

I used to have the same problem. I then went to the Samsung service center and demand a fix. What they did was to upgrade the firmware on the same unit I had, and the problem resolve. So from my own experience, you should go to the service center and get a firmware upgrade.

I've purchased the highly recommended Omnia phone just to find out the screen switches off +-3 times a day with no way of resetting it other than removing the battery. It seems to be a general issue with the Omnia See bellow link
http://www.expansys-usa.com/ft.aspx?k=113444

Did any one experience the same or find a solution?

I can't get my accelerometer to work. It only works after i press the reset button at the top but once I press the power button to turn the screen off it won't work when turned on again.

Guess all depend on your usage. If you use GPS, I think within half a day it will be dead. For mine, on a quite weekend with only a few phone calls, can last me about 2 days. But when during working days, that's a different story. 1.5 days is average for me. So, it all depends on usage really.

Have you just bought the unit ? I have the same issue when I first bought it. Reason for poor battery life is because we keeps playing on the phone because it is new.

After a while, batter life will be better.. because we no longer play around with it so often :) I am now having about 1.5 days to 2 days without charging.
