Review:
The Samsung S3 Slim has a very nice and stylish, though clean design. The build quality is superb and the player feels sturdy and durable. The build materials used are of good quality. Also as it has flash memory, it can sustain light shocks and jerks.
It has touch sensitive controls in the front below the display and a power switch on the right. The controls are easy to use and make the interface pleasing. It has a tiny 1.8 inch display with a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels. The small display accomodates a neat little interface with all the basic features you would expect from a PMP. The display is not suited for video playback though it does support MPEG-4 transcoded playback. The audio quality is very nice and amongst the best you can get in this category. You can connect to your Windows computer through the MTP protocol and transfer music and videos. The bundled earbuds are quite good but if you are looking for a superior experience that transcends all sonic boundaries, you should probably get better earbuds.
This player also offers many other extras like FM radio, JPEG image viewer and a text reader. If only it would have had a bigger display, it would have been great. It is powered by a Lithium Polymer battery which has a rated battery life of 24 hrs for audio and slightly more than 5 hrs for video.
Pros:
- Stylish Design
- Light and Portable
Cons:
- Small Display
Our Rating: 3.5 / 5
