Samsung SyncMaster T220 Review
Samsung has come out with this new innovative LCD which has a touch sensitive bezel which is its key feature. The LCD monitor has a pretty average feature set but makes up with its gorgeous looks. The SyncMaster series of LCD monitors from Samsung have build up a good reputation in the market. Lets look at Samsung SyncMaster T220 in detail.

Samsung has used one of the existing designs on this LCD monitor but added a transparent plastic coating over the bezel which adds shine and glamour to it. The base of the display isn’t particularly stable at times and a push tends to wobble it. It does support backward tilt by 30 degrees.
Buttons have been hidden from the front and located on the right edge of the display. On the front panel, Samsung has put in only a touch sensitive button. Pretty neat. Features is what this display lacks. The display has no HDMI port and relies on either DVI or VGA connections. No USB port or a webcam can be found either. The resolution of the display isn’t full HD either.
Response time of the display is good at 2ms which eliminates ghosting effect. The display clarity is good but if you observe closely, a few finer details can be seen smoothened out. The brightness and contrast are above average. Overall performance of the display is above average and good enough for home and office use.
Pros :
- Gorgeous looks
- Matte finish
- Touch power button
- Fast response time
Cons :
- Low on features
- Wobbly base
- Bit expensive
Final Thoughts
The USP of this LCD monitor is its drop dead looks. It have a pretty average feature set which does not justify its steep price point. You can find better performing displays in the market with better performance and features but they won’t be half as beautiful as this one is. If you can live without USB,HDMI port on your display and bit extra for the looks, then this seems a good bet.
