Sennheiser EH-150 Evolution
Choosing headphones is a very personal choice. There are many different styles and it’s hard to know which one is perfect for you. If you want the best quality you’re going to have to be willing to dish out the big bucks. If you’re on a budget, most of the time you’ll have to settle for less.
Luckily, Sennheiser has bridged the gap between quality and price. The Sennheiser EH-150 Evolution give you an amazing sound without costing you an arm and a leg. While they don’t look the best they definitely deliver a very nice sounding tone and fit snug on your head. They feature a rugged outdoor design with extremely flexible headband, a 3m copper cable and replaceable leatherette ear pads. And the best thing of all is they only cost $19.99.
Here are a few of the technical specifications for the EH-150:
- Street price: $19.99
- Nominal impedance: 32 Ohm
- Weight w/o cable: 130 g
- Cable length: 3 m
- Frequency response: 18…..18000 Hz
- Sound pressure level (SPL) : 115 dB(SPL)
Things I like
The EH-150 is a very nice set of headphones. They feel great against your head and they sound even better. The first thing that I like about them is the way they sit on your head. When you put them on your head you forget that you’re wearing them almost instantly. I’ll be studying in the library and get up to get a drink and forget that I’m wearing them (knocking my iPod off of the desk).
The EH-150 sound amazing. I’ve had a number of different headphones and these sound as good as my $150 pair of headphones. You can feel the bass vibrating through your head and the high sound really good as well. Normally a cheap pair of headphones will be of poor quality but these really sound like they could be a professional set of headphones.
Things I don’t like
The 3meter cable is a little too long for my liking. It is always on the ground and can be fairly annoying. Other than the long cable I really don’t have any problems with this set of headphones.
Pros:
- Very cheap
- Amazing sound
- Very nice feel
Cons:
- Cable is too long
- They don’t look the best
Final Thoughts
For $20 these are the best headphones you can find. They sound amazing and they don’t cost that much at all. If you’re looking for a new set of headphones I would suggest you buy the Sennheiser EH-150 because they are well worth it.
