Sony Digital Camera and PC Problem
The first query is by Rob :
I have a Sony DSC-W55 cyber shot camera that displays the word access when turned on. It beeps approximately 18 times and then tells you to shut the power off and then turn it back on again. It doesn’t want to get out of that mode. The battery is fully charged. I will try another battery to see if it is the battery and not the camera. Any idea what is going on?
Thanks!!
There seems to a problem with your memory card. Have your tried turning on your camera without the memory card? If not, then do so. There is a very good chance that your memory card has been corrupted. There are quite a few possibilities that can lead to this problem. One of them being corrupt firmware or phone memory which can also lead to this problem. Chances of this being a battery problem are very slim as your camera does turn on. This can also be a specific error on Sony Cybershot cameras, so do take the trouble of going through the manual to check if you can find something similar. Your last option of course is to take it to the Sony service center to get it checked by them.
The second query is by ehsan rezaei :
hi everyone my computer was automatically shut down 2 days ago and i can’t do any thing for it.it shut down some time in boot process and some times in windows.can anyone told me what is reason.(excuse me for my bad english)
my hard ware details
MB:Asus P5VDC-X
RAM:kingston DDR 512MB
Graphic card:ATI radeon 128MB
cpu:intel 3.2GH
Took me a few minutes to figure out what you were trying to say! Anyhow, you have provided very limited information to come to a conclusion. But one thing is for sure that there is faulty hardware in your PC. The problem does not lie with the software as the problem also occurs during boot process. The two components that generally lead to this problem are hard disk and RAM. So you need to get your hardware checked as even your motherboard can be faulty. So it is best that you get your hardware check for faults and get this problem solved.

Hi,
My SONY DSC-W5 shuts off immediately after powering ON. I have tried different chaged batteries & with Memory stick out but the same.
However when in preview mode it stays on the flick between photos in the memory. It shows the battery on very low even when I had charged it fully.
Please advise.
Thanks

Hi, I have a Sony Cybershot 10.1 and the batteries don’t last. I have fully charged battery, turn on and use. After a period of hours, turn on and it doesn’t respond — nothing. I put in another battery, operates again. Several hours later, same scenario. I bought a brand new battery, charged it. Put it in last night, worked. This morning, I tried to turn the camera on, dead — nothing. Put in my other re-charged battery, worked. I am daily rotating 3 batteries to get the camera to respond. Help!

@Janet
Take it to the service center. Does not seem like a problem that can be solved yourself.
