Southwing SH241 Review
Southwing is a relatively unknown company which manufactures Bluetooth headsets for use with mobile phones and PDAs. Some of its products are good in terms of quality; great in terms of price. Most of its products are priced really low – aimed at the average consumer who can’t afford the more expensive headsets. The Southwing SH241 is one of those.

Review:
The Southwing SH241 does quite good in the looks department. It looks very stylish in its black avatar and is very compact. It has dimensions of 2.2 x 0.7 x 0.4 inches. It is also very lightweight at just about 12 grams. It is composed mostly of black plastic, but the build quality is very durable. The smooth rounded edges and the long hook ensure a nice and comfortable fit. It is available in three colors – burgundy, lavender and gunmetal gray.
The Southwing SH241 is very easy to use. It has two volume controls on the front right next to the logo. The headset comes with a single earhook but comes with 3 sets of eartips, to fit all sizes. The eartips provide a very comfortable fit. Much of the external noise is blocked out. The audio quality is decent, not the best I have heard. But it is pretty good for a cheap headset. The call quality is pretty good too. It comes with a unique Whisper Mode feature which aids in hads free operation. It says out the number of the caller so you don’t have to check out your phone display. It has a range of about 30 feet. The sound quality starts deteriorating from about 20 feet and completely cuts off at about 35 feet. It has a battery life of about 7 hrs for calls and a 8 day standy time.
Pros:
- Inexpensive
- Nice Battery Life
- Whisper Mode
Cons:
- Average Sound Quality
Our Rating: 3 / 5.
