Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit
Wireless controllers are amazing. The fact that you don’t have to be tethered down to the console is amazing. The Xbox 360 wireless controllers are really nice, you can be 20 feet away playing the game and having no idea whats going on
The thing I dislike about wireless controllers is changing the batteries when they die. This can be really annoying if your batteries die during an important game and there aren’t any to replace it with.
Microsoft though of this and came out with the Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit. The kit will recharge your Xbox 360 rechargeable battery packs (the lithium-ion one) in a few hours and give you over 25 hours of game play. The great thing about this kit is that it comes with one rechargeable battery pack so you don’t need to buy one.
Here are a few of the technical specifications for the Quick Charge Kit:
- Street price: $29.99
- Charges two Rechargeable Battery Packs
- Includes one Rechargeable Battery Pack
Things I like
If you own a 360 wireless controller and don’t want to keep a stash of batteries around in case your controller dies I strongly suggest that you buy the Xbox 360. I love this recharging station. While it isn’t that quick in recharging the batteries (3 hours) it does provide an easy way to recharge them. The batteries themselves give you 25 hours of play time so you’ll be able to play you’re online matches without worrying about the battery dying.
The other thing I like about the kit is that it comes with a battery. It’s really a win-win no matter what.
Things I don’t like
The only thing I don’t like is the fact that it takes 3 hours to recharge. Clearly this isn’t that big of a problem because you just plug it in over night and you’ll be good to go in the morning. I can understand that this could be a little annoying if you’re in the middle of a gaming marathon but in that case, get more than one battery.
Pros:
- Very affordable
- Charges two batteries at a time
- Comes with a battery
Cons:
- Takes 3 hours to charge
Final Thoughts
Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit is a must-have Xbox 360 accessory for those who already own, or are considering buying, a wireless controller. For $30 it’s a great value and I strong suggest picking one up.

I have the play and charge adapter that uses the power from your XBox 360 to recharge your controller’s batteries. The downfall is that you are now restricted by the cord connecting you to the console. This product looks to be a much better option.

This guys right. This is one of the best things to have if you have a wireless 360 pad.
Yes it can be annoying when your running out of battery in the middle of a game.
However there is a solution to that problem and that is buy a second rechargeable battery. That way you can charge one battery while you play using the other. This way you will never be short of a fully charged battery.
Seriously it is very good thing to have appart from always having a spare battery ready to use it will save you a LOT of money.
